Job Description

Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role focuses on hands-on work with drivetrain components, performing precise assembly and disassembly tasks in a clean and well-organized shop environment. You will use blueprints, gauges, and precision measuring tools to ensure all work meets strict quality standards while supporting continuous improvement and cross-training initiatives on the 2nd shift. Responsibilities Perform basic assembly and disassembly operations on drivetrain parts and related components. Use blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices, and other equipment to ensure all work meets quality specifications. Use precision measuring devices to accurately assemble and disassemble final products. Interpret blueprints effectively to guide assembly, disassembly, and inspection tasks. Perform preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and work areas as required. Assist in identifying issues in processes or components and help initiate corrective action procedures. Conduct Safety Stop Audit observations to support a safe working environment. Participate actively in Continuous Improvement (CI) and Process Improvement (PID) initiatives. Support cross-training efforts by performing additional duties or tasks assigned in various areas of the shop. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop standards. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and disassembly, particularly with drivetrain parts or similar components. Ability to use hand tools and shop tools safely and effectively. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. Ability to use gauges, torque measuring devices, and precision measuring instruments to verify quality and conformance. Basic understanding of preventive maintenance practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality standards. Ability to follow established safety procedures and participate in safety audits. Willingness to work 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, 4:15 p.m. to 2:45 a.m. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in mechanical assembly or disassembly is encouraged. Experience in welding, metal fabrication, agricultural equipment assembly, construction equipment assembly, or mechanics is beneficial. Comfort working with drivetrain components and related mechanical systems. Interest in participating in continuous improvement and process improvement activities. Ability to adapt to cross-training and support multiple areas within the shop. Why Work Here? This position works on the 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 4:15 p.m. to 2:45 a.m., supporting a four-day workweek structure with potential overtime. The work involves regular use of hand tools, gauges, torque measuring devices, and precision measuring equipment, as well as interaction with continuous improvement and safety processes. The facility emphasizes organization, safety, and quality in daily operations.

A Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Fargo, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.97 - $27.82/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
