Job Description
Index Packaging, Inc. is a growing, midsize packaging manufacturer with four New Hampshire facilities totaling over 290,000 square feet of design, engineering, manufacturing, and warehousing operations. Position Summary:
The Recycled Pallets Recycler is responsible for sorting, assessing, dismantling, and repairing pallets within our Recycled Pallets Department. This role works as part of a fast-paced production team and requires strong attention to safety, detail, and quality. The ideal candidate is comfortable with physically demanding work and has experience using woodworking tools such as nail guns and saws.Responsibilities:
Inspect and grade pallets to determine necessary repairs for resale. Disassemble damaged pallets using appropriate tools. Rebuild and repair pallets by adding blocks, companion stringers, and other required components. Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet company standards (e.g., no protruding nails, correct sizing, proper sorting). Maintain production flow by working at a consistent and efficient pace on the line. Support team operations and complete additional tasks as assigned.Competencies and Qualifications:
Ability to follow assigned task schedules and production priorities. Proficient in using nail guns and saws (training provided as needed). Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Physical Demands and Work Environment This position requires working in a physically demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment. Employees will frequently stand, walk, bend, and independently lift up to 50 pounds, with team lifting required for heavier loads.
