Index Packaging is a growing manufacturing company with four New Hampshire facilities and over 200 employees dedicated to delivering custom packaging solutions across a wide range of industries. We are looking for a hands-on Woodshop Manufacturing Assembler to join our Milton team. Previous woodshop experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train dependable individuals who are ready to learn! What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll help build custom wood packaging products including crates, boxes, and pallets designed to protect customer products during shipping and transport.Daily responsibilities include:
Building crates, boxes, and pallets to customer specifications. Safely using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic nail guns. Measuring materials accurately using tape measures and job specifications. Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy. Strapping, bundling, and preparing finished products for shipment. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area. Working independently and as part of a production team.What We're Looking For:
We're seeking dependable, safety-conscious individuals who enjoy active, hands-on work.Helpful experience includes:
Manufacturing or production experience. Woodshop or carpentry experience. Construction or framing. Experience using hand tools, power tools, or nail guns. Pallet, crate, or custom build experience.You should be comfortable with:
Reading a tape measure accurately. Basic measurements and shop math. Fast-paced production work. Physical labor and lifting. Working safely around tools and equipment.Physical Requirements:
This is an active manufacturing role requiring: Standing for extended periods. Frequent bending, lifting, walking, and movement. Regular lifting up to 50 lbs. Team lifting for heavier materials.
