Job Description

Role Summary AMETEK Precitech Inc., a global leader in ultra-precision machining solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Spindle Assembler to join our high-performance team on second shift. This role is responsible for assembling, testing, and calibrating ultra-precision air-bearing spindles used in advanced manufacturing systems. What you'll be doing Assemble high-precision spindle components using detailed engineering drawings, work instructions, and schematics. Operate ultra-precision diamond turning machines and surface grinders to match fit spindle components. Perform mechanical and electrical sub-assembly, including bearing installation, rotor balancing, and wiring. Conduct functional testing and calibration of spindles to meet stringent performance specifications. Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) to verify tolerances and alignment. Maintain accurate documentation of assembly steps, test results, and quality checks. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement. Follow cleanroom protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. This is what you'll need to be successful in this role High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical or electrical technology preferred. 2+ years of experience in precision assembly or manufacturing, preferably in aerospace, medical devices, or ultra-precision equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Proficient in the use of hand tools, torque drivers, and measurement instruments. Who we are

 designs and manufactures ultra precision machining solutions for freeform diamond turning, milling, and grinding which are used to produce optical lenses, mold inserts, mirrors, and precision mechanical components. Our diamond turning machines produce rotationally symmetric, asymmetric, freeform, and sculpted geometries with form tolerances in the sub-micron range and nanometer surface finishes.
