Shift/Pay:

Experience in Construction/Wood Assembly (Preferred) Job Description The Assembler II is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to customer specifications. This role requires working under immediate supervision, relying on specific directions and instructions. The position involves all facets of assembly for the framing of trusses, walls, and flooring, utilizing tools such as hammers, tape measures, hand and power tools, nails, hangers, and wood. Responsibilities Assemble component parts and complete finished products according to specifications. Use a hammer, tape measure, hand and power tools to assemble trusses, walls, and flooring. Attach and nail hangers to wood for assembly according to specifications. Inspect completed assemblies using overhead lasers to ensure proper dimensions and hanger placement. Work in various areas or departments to complete assemblies. Participate on a production line or work collaboratively with others to complete stages of assembly. Maintain production goals while demonstrating good teamwork and communication skills. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Keep work areas safe and clean, including cleaning and disposing of trash. Skills Experience in assembly, production, woodwork, framing, and carpentry. Proficiency with hammers, tape measures, and power tools. Ability to assemble trusses, walls, and flooring accurately. Minimum of 6 months of steady work history within the last 2 to 3 years. Additional Skills & Qualifications Reliability and a good attitude. Willingness and ability to learn and train on the job. Must provide own 25oz (or heavier) hammer. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work is conducted in a production facility where the temperature can be hot in summer and cold in winter. Employees may work around loud, dirty, and dusty machinery. The role involves working mostly indoors but may require outdoor work occasionally. Efforts are being made to improve temperature conditions, including the addition of industrial heaters and closing building openings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berlin, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
