Military Defense Manufacturing Company Urgently Hiring Production Assemblers in
Fairfield, NJ Location:
Fairfield, NJ Shift:
6:00am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday)
Pay:
$21-$24/hour ;
Overtime:
$31.50-$26/hour Job Description The Production Assembler is responsible for assembling components in accordance with drawings and operation sheets. This role requires handling tooling and fixtures, using various hand tools to produce or modify parts, and maintaining count and order progress. The assembler will also be involved in weighing, loading, pressing operations, and closing and assembling units using crimping and closure tools, as well as epoxy applications. Additionally, the position includes soldering tasks, such as small wire soldering, terminal soldering, and bridge wire welding, along with assisting in the packaging of pyrotechnic assemblies. Responsibilities Assemble components according to drawings and operation sheets. Weigh, load, and press operations. Handle tooling and fixtures using various hand tools to produce or modify parts. Maintain count and order progress, logging time and quantities. Close and assemble units using crimping and closure tools and epoxy applications. Perform soldering tasks, including small wire soldering, terminal soldering, and bridge wire welding. Assist with the packaging of pyrotechnic assemblies. Essential Skills Experience in production assembly. Proficiency in blueprint reading. Soldering skills, particularly wire soldering. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must comply with ITAR restrictions, requiring the applicant to be a US Person or Permanent Resident. Ability to follow company safety practices and quality procedures. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
