Job Description
ASO is currently looking for a qualified and reliable production worker preparing, assembling and manufacturing safety product on a full-time, 40 hours/week basis; hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm. ASO is looking to hire an exempt employee paid by an hourly rate. Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Assembly Technician, where your mechanical skills and attention to detail will drive the creation of high-quality products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with precision tools, interpret technical drawings, and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes in a LEAN manufacturing environment. As an integral part of our production line, you will ensure that assemblies are completed accurately, efficiently, and safely, supporting our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Duties Comply with the Company's attendance/tardiness standards Read and understand working instructions and technical drawings Ability to work with the metric and inch system Cut, grind and handle metal sheets Test, trim and quality check finished product Willingness to be trained according to Standardized Job Instruct Sheets Produce sub-assemblies with attention to detail including assembly of metal contact units with cables Using power tools to package finished products Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues Maintain a clean and safe work area by following established 5S practices Follow established TAKT time in production processes Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalency Demonstrate strong work ethic Demonstrated ability to accomplish work schedule in a team-based environment Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, managers and supervisors Physical demands Stand for extended periods of time Willingness to learn and abide by standardized work Use hands to handle, touch and assemble product Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary (team lifts are always an option) Employee may be exposed to fumes and metal particles Noise level in work environment can be loud at times Experience Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial assembly environments is a plus Experience operating forklifts or similar industrial equipment is advantageous but not mandatory Benefits Open and motivated team with an outstanding work environment and excellent work atmosphere 10 days of vacation first year of employment, 15 days within the second year 14 paid days off for selected bank holidays 5 sick days, 1 personal day ASO contributes 2% of yearly salary to employees
