If you are a seasoned aircraft inspection professional looking to make an impact in a rewarding industry, join our team! As an Aircraft Inspector IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to inspect our aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturer's specifications and government regulations. You'll be responsible for identifying any breach of standards for airworthiness. Your inspection authority will include all in-process inspections, all final inspections, and approval for return to service of all work. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. - Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.
- Develop and implement inspection protocols.
- Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
- Address and resolve significant compliance issues.
- Lead training and mentorship programs for junior inspectors.
- Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
- Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance.
- Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
- Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
- Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
- Ability to obtain a current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
- A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment.
- Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
