Job Title:
Pipe Assembler Pay Rate:
$24-31/hour | 1st and 2nd shifts available Position Overview Play a direct role in building high-impact industrial systems used across the global energy sector. As a Pipe Assembler, you'll work on Lube Oil Consoles, Gas Conditioning Skids, and other complex skidded equipment. This is a hands-on, technical role that demands precision, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to confidently interpret and execute detailed drawings. What You'll Do Assemble piping systems using arrangement drawings, P&IDs, and parts lists Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout, fit-up, and assembly sequence Bolt and seal flanged connections to specified torque requirements Measure, cut, align, and fit piping components with accuracy Use hand and power tools including drills, grinders, and shop equipment Drill and tap holes up to 1/2 inch for component installation Operate forklifts and overhead or jib cranes to move and position materials Troubleshoot assembly challenges by reviewing drawings and adjusting components Support welding activities and collaborate with welders during assembly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow OSHA and site safety standards at all times Lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds What You Bring Minimum of 1 year of pipe assembly experience with bolted flange systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and P&IDs Experience with flanged and gasketed connections Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical assembly equipment Basic pipe fitting skills, including measuring, aligning, and fitting Forklift experience and safe material handling practices Familiarity with overhead or jib cranes Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions Strong commitment to safety, quality, and precision Preferred Experience Experience working on skidded systems such as Lube Oil Consoles or Gas Conditioning Skids Exposure to welding environments or supporting weld operations Ownership of a personal tool set for mechanical assembly work Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to collaborate effectively with production teams to meet deadlines Why This Role Stands Out Stable, long-term work supporting industries such as oil and gas, power generation, and industrial systems Clean, climate-controlled facility with modern equipment Opportunity to build specialized skills in complex mechanical systems Clear path for career growth in a high-demand technical field Strong emphasis on safety, quality, and professional development Work Environment This role is based in a large, well-lit, climate-controlled industrial facility designed for precision assembly. Daily responsibilities focus on accuracy, safety, and maintaining a clean, organized shop environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
