Randstad is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wood Assembler to join the production team of one of our top clients in Islandia, NY. This is a great opportunity for a craft-minded individual who enjoys working with their hands to build high-quality products.

Experience:
Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, or furniture assembly is highly preferred.Handheld Tools:
Proficiency with drills, saws, orbital sanders, and basic hand tools.Manual Dexterity:
hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle delicate components.Measurement Skills:
Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16th of an inch.Team Player:
Ability to work efficiently in a production line environment to meet daily deadlines.salary:
$18 - $20 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 6 AM - 2:30PMeducation:
High SchoolResponsibilities Assembly:
Build and assemble high-end wood furniture, fixtures, or components using hand tools, power tools, and adhesives.Blueprints:
Read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions to ensure precise construction.Finishing Touches:
Sand, trim, and adjust parts for a seamless fit; install hardware such as hinges, handles, and drawer slides.Quality Control:
Inspect finished pieces for defects, gaps, or inconsistencies before they move to the finishing department.Machine Operation:
Safely operate shop equipment such as miter saws, drills, and pneumatic nail guns.SkillsGluingParts AssemblingQualificationsYears of experience:
