Job Title:
Clean Room Assembler / Production Operator Job Description This role focuses on assembling small, precision components in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. You will work with microscopes, tweezers, laser equipment, and computer-based systems to produce high-quality parts while following strict procedures and safety standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, fine manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with changing day-to-day priorities. Responsibilities Assemble small, delicate components using tools such as tweezers and other fine-dexterity instruments. Operate laser cutting machines by loading parts, aligning components using computer controls, and initiating the laser process according to defined procedures. Perform quality inspections using microscopes, magnifying equipment, micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools to ensure products meet specifications. Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols at all times to maintain consistent product quality and a safe work environment. Handle post-processing activities, including cleaning, finishing, inspection, documentation, and preparation of parts for shipping. Work in a clean room environment when required, including properly suiting up and following clean room protocols. Maintain a high level of accuracy, consistency, and productivity throughout the production process. Enter production and quality data accurately into computer systems, including ERP and related software, as required. Collaborate with team members and support a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability in daily operations. Participate in orientation and training programs, including cross-training on multiple shifts when needed. Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production schedules. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail and precision in handling small parts and performing visual inspections. Comfort working with small components and tools such as tweezers in a production environment. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production setting with changing day-to-day priorities. Willingness to learn new processes and operate flexible shifts, including potential weekend and off-shift schedules. Good attendance, reliability, and commitment to following established procedures and safety guidelines. 1+ year of experience in a role requiring attention to detail and/or quality control using microscopes, micrometers, calipers, or detailed visual inspection. 1+ year of experience in small parts assembly or a role requiring fine manual dexterity. 1+ year of experience in data entry and computer-based work, including basic familiarity with production or business systems. Ability to work comfortably with microscopes, magnifying equipment, and laser-based machinery. Capability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate documentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ year of experience working in a medical-related position is a plus. 1+ year of experience with ERP systems is a plus. 1+ year of experience with Epicor ERP software is a plus. Experience in quality assurance, quality control, or inspection roles is beneficial. Background in environments requiring strict cleanliness, documentation, and process adherence is advantageous. Comfort using measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers for precision work. Ability to adapt to different shifts, including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shift options, as business needs require. Openness to a minimum 4.5-month contract with the potential for permanent hire based on attendance and performance. Interest in ongoing learning and skill development, including cross-training on multiple processes and tools. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work takes place in a clean, organized, and climate-controlled facility designed for precision manufacturing. You will split your time between sitting and standing throughout the shift, depending on the task. Safety goggles are required due to laser usage and are provided by the employer. When working in the clean room, you will suit up each day and follow strict cleanliness protocols. The general dress code is casual, allowing jeans and a polo or neat t-shirt, with regular shoes; steel-toe boots are not required. The team is described as passionate and collaborative, with day-to-day work that can change frequently and requires a high level of adaptability. Training includes a one-week orientation on 1st shift (typically 6:00 AM
  • 2:00 PM, Monday-Friday), and weekend shift roles may require 2-3 weeks of training on weekday shifts. Regular shift options include 1st shift (approximately 6:30 AM
  • 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday), 2nd shift (approximately 2:30 PM
  • 10:30 PM, Monday-Friday), 3rd shift (approximately 10:30 PM
  • 6:30 AM starting Sunday night), and additional weekend day and night configurations to support continuous operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00
  • $20.40/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
