Assembles a variety of often complex components and sub-assemblies, including variations from standard units for specific orders. Receives work instructions from supervisor. Works to blueprint(s) to assemble a variety of components and previously sub-assembled units, many of which are complex grinders, blowers, etc; producing standard units and variations from standard for specific orders. Reads and interprets complex schematic diagrams to assemble (or wire) control panels (air or electric); assure the incorporation of and/or recommends engineering changes to assemblies to improve same. May work with 440 volts maximum when test running electric operated components. May use forklift, climb ladders, pack and box product during assembly. May requisition parts (as needed) to fill orders, check parts received for correct identity and quality; notify supervisor of materials shortages. Make final adjustments and settings prior to shipment, identifies and corrects errors or malfunctions in assemblies. Set up and operate assigned machines to perform operation as required. Inspects own work in progress, but work is subject to in-process and final inspection by others. Stamps/identified work, records production data, etc as directed.
