First Shift | Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (occasional Saturdays and overtime as needed)Pay Rate:
Starting at $20.00 per hour Shape, Build, and Deliver Quality Products That Keep Industries Moving PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a motivated Fabrication Associate to support one of the nation's leading distributors of plumbing supplies, PVF, waterworks, fire protection fabrication products, HVAC equipment, and industrial solutions. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with machinery, solving practical challenges, and contributing to a team that delivers high-quality products to customers across critical industries. If you have mechanical aptitude, experience operating fabrication equipment, and a strong commitment to safety and quality, this could be the perfect next step in your career. What You'll Do As a Fabrication Associate, you'll play a key role in pipe fabrication operations and material handling activities.Your responsibilities will include:
- Moving loose or bundled pipe throughout the shop and yard
- Assembling customer pipe orders, including individual pipe lengths and bundled materials
- Operating forklifts and powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Setting up, operating, and maintaining fabrication equipment
- Measuring, recording, and calculating pipe lengths accurately
- Cutting pipe using band saws, torches, and other fabrication equipment Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6-8 months of recent experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial setting
- Experience with equipment such as:
- Pipe threaders
- Band saws
- Roll groove machines
- 3-6 months of forklift experience Preferred Qualifications
- 6-8 months of fire sprinkler pipe fabrication experience
- Experience in industries such as:
- Auto mechanics
- Diesel mechanics
- Machinery maintenance
- Automotive manufacturing Work Environment
- Non-climate-controlled fabrication facility
- Work area can become hot during warmer months
- Active industrial setting requiring movement, lifting, and machine operation
