About the Role Located in Twinsburg, OH, this position offers a choice of shifts between 6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 5:30 AM-2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with pay ranging from $21 to $25 per hour. As a Prototype Assembler, you will build custom cabinet systems by translating complex electrical schematics, technical drawings, and customer requirements into finished products. Your daily tasks will involve mechanical assembly, wiring, and cabinet modifications, all while ensuring that every project meets our rigorous standards for safety, quality, and timely completion. Core Responsibilities Utilize technical documentation, including electrical schematics and work orders, to guide your assembly process. Mount various components onto electrical panels and cabinets to help ensure the final product functions correctly. Handle the assembly and disassembly of cabinet doors and related hardware. Execute signal, power, and low-voltage wiring tasks. Determine the correct hardware and components needed based on project specifications to ensure high-quality builds. Manage wire preparation, including stripping, crimping, routing, and terminating connections. Position mechanical and electrical parts within panels to help optimize the internal layout. Ensure all components and cabinets are labeled with precision. Adjust and modify panels to align with specific project requirements. Uphold high standards of workmanship and consistency across every build you complete. Collaborate with your team to troubleshoot assembly challenges and improve overall workflow. Help maintain a safe and orderly workspace for the entire production team. Complete your assigned builds on schedule to help the company meet its delivery goals. Essential Qualifications At least 2 years of hands-on experience with electrical panel assembly. Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. Proven background in control panel or electrical cabinet assembly. Skilled in the use of standard power and hand tools like torque wrenches, drills, and crimpers. Ability to translate technical documentation into a finished, functional product. Capable of independently selecting components and determining their placement for assembly. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, basic math proficiency, and excellent manual dexterity. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs. Completion of high school or equivalent education. Preferred Qualifications Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing setting. Background in engineered-to-order (ETO) production environments. An Associate degree is considered a plus. Previous work history in prototype or production assembly roles. Experience assembling custom equipment or cabinet systems involving both mechanical and electrical components.
