Job Description

As the North American headquarters for G-TEKT Corporation, Jefferson Industries actively participates in the Global Automotive Industry. As part of our involvement, Jefferson Industries Corporation offers design and development for press dies and other tools necessary to produce automotive products. We embrace programs for product development including product design review and Advanced Product Quality Planning. Our facilities support high quality product manufacturing, and we provide a timely and flexible approach to meeting the needs of our customers. We are actively seeking a Fabricator to join our Press Maintenance Department on 1st Shift (core schedule, Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm) Fabricator Job Description We are looking for technically skilled candidates with good attention to detail for the position of Fabricator. Fabricators are responsible for adhering to a schedule, ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and secured and ensuring that safety standards are always met, among other duties. Moreover, Fabricators will be physically able workers who have good dexterity, color vision and stamina.
Fabricator Responsibilities:
Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions. Taking part in product development meetings. Verifying dimensions and product specifications. Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present. Marking cutting lines on material. Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and assembled. Ensuring that quality control standards are met. Maintaining a schedule. Testing products for their functionality. Troubleshooting and stress testing products to minimize problems. Reporting and detailing product malfunctions. Adhering to assembly safety standards. Other duties as assigned. Weekly Pay Additional $1.00/hour at 5 and 10 years of service Additional $0.50/hour for 2nd or 3rd shift premium Holiday Pay Shutdown Pay Summer

Fabricator Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Machining and/or welding certification preferred. Proficiency operating heavy machinery. Excellent eyesight and color vision. Good dexterity. Attention to detail. Good organizational skills. Physical stamina.
