Job Description

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Follow documented job specific work instructionsFinish and repair ceramic hardware product and airfoils using handheld and free-standing equipment and toolsVisually inspect product and identify defectsMaintain required documentation and paperworkProduce quality ceramic cores, meeting production goals and quality requirementsMaintain a clean and organized workstationCommunicate effectively with manager, lead person, quality inspectors, engineering, and fellow operatorsAssure proper completion of end of shift duties including production reporting, required TPM, and 6S activitiesKnow and follow all company safety rules and regulations

Education, Prior Work Experience, Specialized Skills, Knowledge:
High School Diploma or GED equivalentStrong fine motor skills with ability to handle fragile partsUse of precision handheld air grinder and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, etc.)Experience in a manufacturing environmentGood communication skillsExcellent attendance & dependability a mustWillingness to cross-train in other company job functions is expectedPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting) 80% of the timeClose visual acuity to perform an activity such as visual inspection involving small defects, small parts (using handheld magnifying loop or magnifying visor), and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes, viewing a computer terminal; and reading.Working in a manufacturing environment
Equipment Used:
Handheld precision air grinder, diamond cut-off saw, free-standing belt sander and grinding wheel, magnifying visor and handheld magnifying loop, various diamond reamers, files and other finishing equipment, various sanding tools and equipment, precision measuring tools, computer keyboard and scanner.Additional Information:
