Job Title:
Hydraulic Pump Assembly Technician Job Description This role focuses on assembling hydraulic pumps of various sizes on a production line in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will use hand and power tools, follow detailed specifications and blueprints, and ensure each pump meets quality and performance standards through testing. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work on your feet for the full shift. Responsibilities Assemble hydraulic pumps on an assembly line according to detailed specifications and blueprints. Use hand tools, power tools, and presses to build and finalize pump assemblies. Build the same pump model repeatedly throughout the day to maintain consistent quality and output. Assist with assembling different types of pumps as production needs change. Place completed pumps into testing cells and verify performance, including checking for leaks. Use measuring tools such as tape measures to confirm accurate dimensions and proper fit of components. Follow all safety procedures while working with tools, equipment, and machinery. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production. Collaborate with team members and cross-train in other departments as needed to support production demands. Demonstrate reliability, self-motivation, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Skills Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components. Previous industrial experience in a production, warehouse, or similar environment. Experience using hand tools and power tools in a work setting. Ability to read and follow specifications and basic blueprints for assembly tasks. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and leak-free pump performance. Ability to stand on your feet for the entire scheduled shift. Reliable transportation to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts. Willingness to learn new tasks and processes and adapt to changing production needs. Self-motivation and a strong work ethic, with a focus on quality and productivity. Professional, cooperative attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous manufacturing or assembly line experience, especially in mechanical assembly. Experience with pump assembly or similar mechanical systems. Ability to learn and cross-train across multiple departments within the facility. Knowledge of measuring tools, including accurate use of tape measures and other measuring devices. Familiarity with using a variety of tools and equipment in a production environment. Comfort working in a repetitive, process-driven role while maintaining high quality standards. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility focused on hydraulic pump production. You will work with hand tools, power tools, presses, and measuring tools at a designated assembly station. The role requires standing for the full duration of your shift and working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment. Available schedules include a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., a second shift from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with additional work on Fridays and sometimes Saturdays required until March based on production demands. There is also a weekend shift from Friday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., where you work 36 hours and receive pay for a full-time schedule. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and consistent production standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shawnee, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
