Job Description

Main Purpose:
Responsible for completing wiring assemblies per client/company specifications. Assist in the successful operation of the main shop, ensuring builds and repairs are performed to the satisfaction of the company's AS9100 classification.
Key Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, perform varied duties and assignments as it relates to a range of wiring complex assemblies for NWUAV (i.e. wiring, connecting, soldering, and assembly of circuit boards and other electronic equipment). Resolves moderately complex questions/problems while assisting other production assemblers. Work with a variety of hand tools; wire cutters, wire strippers, screw drivers and wire twisters. Read and interpret technical work instructions, complex wiring drawings and prints. Communicate to Publications department regarding necessary edits/corrections. Ability to accurately document procedures. Ability to identify components, values and complete measurements. Ensure all wiring related services are performed safely, professionally and on time. Works with lead to identify and streamline processes and take on additional responsibilities within the department. Assist other Assemblers as required with the timely completion of sub-assembly and troubleshoot concerns. Other duties as assigned by the lead or manager.
Skills, Experience, and Aptitude:
The Wiring Assembler II will have a broad knowledge of assembly requirements, wiring concepts and high-level interpretation of technical drawings. 3-5 years' experience with wiring, connecting, soldering, basic hand tools, assembly of circuit boards and other electronic equipment is required. Experience working to AS9100 standards and

training is preferred. Essential Functions of the
Job:
Safely lift and carry heavy objects with the help of another person if necessary. Ability to work well independently and following strict adherence to deadlines. Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout the day alternating sitting and standing as necessary. Must be able to visually inspect assemblies to ensure accuracy. Perform repetitive movement such as pushing, pulling, bending, some twisting and stooping. Perform fine hand manipulation including handling small and large objects. Ability to communicate clearly and be positive, polite, and cooperative with co-workers, managers, customers and vendors.
