Job Description

Description Ascentec Engineering is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Pallet Division. As an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of electronic assembly tooling, we are looking for a motivated individual to join our day shift team (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, quick-turn manufacturing environment and possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and hands-on assembly skills. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and contribute effectively as part of a high-performing team. This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.
Requirements Job Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to: Work with precision machined parts while assembling, cleaning, deburring, sanding & lapping Use of power and hand tools: chop saw, drills, Dremel, torque drivers, files, pneumatic sanders, etc. Installation of hardware and electromechanical assemblies Preventative maintenance for selected handheld tools Check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures and dial gauges Other tasks as defined by leadership
Job Qualification/Experience & Technical Skills:
1 year in a production/manufacturing environment highly preferred, but not required Experience installing rivets, studs, standoffs and Heli coils, a plus Able to read and understand project specifications, blueprints and drawings Use of Microsoft Office tools

Willing to work flex hours as need arises (e.g. short overtime notice & Saturday OT)
Working Conditions:
Standing, reaching, bending down & over, squeezing, and lifting throughout an 8 hr/shift. Constantly lifting up to 10 lbs.- must ask for help in lifting over 35 lbs. Typically sitting while doing actual assembly Noise level in production is low to moderate, although using an air nozzle and the Water Jet cutting noise can be high pitched for a few seconds The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship. The employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
Compensation/Benefits:
