Job Title:
Industrial Assembler Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Light Industrial Assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling stairs, ensuring quality control, and preparing them for shipment. This role requires cross-training in various sub-departments and involves manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities Match appropriate parts to the stringers. Assemble stairs by inserting tread and risers into the stringer, clamping, gluing, and hammering in wedges. Glue and staple the V-block, and nail/screw the riser into the back of the tread. Remove completed stairs from assembly table to punch out table. Conduct quality control checks for nail and screw blow-outs and ensure proper seating and securing of components. Cut and install scotia, wrap stairs as needed, and stage stairs on skids for loading. Essential Skills Experience with woodworking, carpentry, or framing. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Capability to perform manual labor, lifting up to 75 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Good problem-solving and communication skills. Prior carpentry experience preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently both as a team and independently. Positive attitude, conscientiousness, and detail-oriented. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
