This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. An organization within Northrop Grumman's Space Systems, Cutting Edge Optronics is a leading provider of high-power laser diode arrays, high power pump modules and diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers. We are a vertically integrated manufacturer capable of supplying unmounted diode bars, packaged laser diodes, DPSS modules, laser diode drivers and complete DPSS laser systems. Our diode laser-based products have become industry standards and are used in a wide variety of commercial and military applications. In this job, you will:

• Fabrication of laser diode bars
• Fabrication of hard and/or soft solder mounted bar assemblies
• Preparation of mechanical parts for laser diode array and subassembly builds
• Laser diode array builds
• Assembly and test of CW gain modules.
• Responsibilities are subject to change dependent upon your personal experience/strengths and specific needs of Cutting Edge Optronics.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience.
• No clearance required to start
• Good fine motor skills
• Willingness and capability to learn new tasks
• Good communication skills to effectively interact with peers for training and work flow coordination

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience related to the fabrication of laser diode bars and arrays or similar manufacturing experience
• 2-year technical associate's degree
• Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards Primary Level Salary Range:

$33,200.00 - $55,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
