  • Florence, SC 1500 Otis Way, Florence, SC, 29501 USA The Assembler positions are responsible for basic mechanical assembly and occasionally may perform ground bond testing.
This can include crating and packing using hand tools and PIV equipment. The Assembler 1 will demonstrate proficiency in using blueprints, Manufacturing Tracking System (MTS), On Floor Sheets (OFS), and hand tools required in assembly. The Assembler will demonstrate ability interacting with MTS and Quality by driving continuous improvement through active product resolution, reporting turnbacks and documenting assembly defects or supplier failures. The Assembler will participate in daily toolbox meetings and ensure shop floor management elements such as Tier 1, QCPC, 5S, Material Review Board (MRB) and other job duties assigned.

Essential Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical assembly including basic installation of sheet metal components and hardware installation Utilize gauges such as calipers and protractors to verify that product dimensions comply with specifications. In the event a nonconformance is detected, perform basic assembly rework on various assemblies. Utilize PIV for crating and packing requirements Utilize shop floor management system to drive Tier 1, 5S, and cross-training principles to promote continuous improvement Participate in required Level 1 OJT and cross-training on Level II assembly. Perform other duties as requested or assigned by supervisor or manager Critical Skills Basic reading, writing and math ability. Basic computer applications and use of product documents to ensure product compliance. Effective communication skills. Ability to cross train on multiple product configurations. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 35 lbs. Must be able to stand up to 10 hours a day Education /
