Job Description
Fabrication Technician Level 3 — Greer, SC $60,000-$70,000/year • Full-time • Visa Sponsorship Available Automation Engineering Company (AEC) is looking for an experienced Fabrication Technician Level 3 to join our team in Greer, SC. This is a hands-on role building custom automated equipment for a growing, highly-regarded automation integrator. You'll work alongside a skilled fabrication team, building parts and assemblies to tight tolerances with minimal supervision. If you can read a mechanical drawing, run a weld bead you're proud of, and want to be part of a team building genuinely complex, custom machinery — we want to hear from you. What you'll be doing: Fabricating parts, pieces, and assemblies to AEC's standards, specs, and tolerances Reading and working from mechanical fabrication drawings, including weld symbols and GD&T Operating MIG, TIG, and ARC welding equipment, plasma/oxy-acetylene cutting, press brakes, shears, iron workers, and standard shop tools QC'ing your own work and supporting others during setup and welding Keeping the shop clean, safe, and organized Flexing across tasks (assembly, machining) as project demands require Communicating regularly with the Fabrication Foreman and Production Foreman What we're looking for: 10+ years' fabrication experience Strong mechanical drawing reading skills — weld symbols, GD&T, tolerancing Solid problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills A team player with good communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude PC proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel) Nice to have: machining to print, assembly print reading, electrical print knowledge
