The opportunity The Greer, SC plant is seeking assembly/packout associates. This position is responsible for performing various tasks on the assembly line to support the assembly process and producing quality merchandise on schedule. How you will impact Smurfit Westrock Perform various tasks on the assembly line, such as opening cartons, placing products on tables, applying labels, packing products, and taping boxes, using the work order as a guide for job requirements and customer specifications. Wrap and/or band pallets and tag pallets; move pallets to appropriate area for removal with pallet jack if necessary. Remove trash and debris from lines; assist with overall housekeeping tasks on the line. Assist line leaders as needed. Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area. Work safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned; duties may vary based on the facility's needs. What you need to succeed High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to communicate effectively with line leads and associates. Maintain good attendance.
