In this role, you will play a crucial part in fabricating high-quality metal stampings and welded assemblies, ensuring precision parts reach major automotive manufacturers across the globe.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation:
Load and unload raw metal parts and assemblies into automated welding, tapping, and assembly machinery fixtures.
Quality Assurance:
Perform continuous visual and precise dimensional inspections using gauges, micrometers, and quality control sheets to ensure zero-defect output.
Tooling Maintenance:
Monitor equipment performance.
Computer Data Entry:
Input basic production and tracking data into plant computer systems.
Safety & Maintenance:
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation while adhering strictly to plant safety standards, OSHA rules, and quality frameworks (ISO14001, IATF16949).
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentPhysical Effort:
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; regular lifting of parts/containers weighing up to 50 lbs.
Visual Standards:
Excellent close-range vision, color identification, and depth perception to spot part defects.
Environment:
Fast-paced, heavy-traffic automotive manufacturing plant subject to noise (ear protection required), airborne particles, non-weather heat, and mechanical vibrations.
