Job description Uster Technologies, Inc. (a subsidiary of Toyota Industries Corporation ) is the leading high technology instrument manufacturer of products for quality measurement and certification for the textile industry . Uster consistently brings outstanding and innovative new products to the market, thanks to our dedicated global teams in US, Switzerland, Israel, China, Turkey, India, and Japan. Assembler Performs a wide range of mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks. Assembles and tests subcomponents and finished product using various hand and power tools while referencing drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure one's own quality. Participates in assembly of products derived from research and development activities, providing feedback and suggestions for future projects. Applies high attention to detail and shows initiative to learn and be trained on various types of assemblies and processes. Sets up workstation, jigs, fixtures, and equipment specific to task assigned via shop order to ensure both safety and quality. Participates in process improvement activities with company staff including Production, Quality, and R&D. Position Requirements Requires technical diploma, certificate or degree in related field of study or comparable qualifications based on combination of related education, training and experience. Minimum two (2) years related experience in a technical environment. Working knowledge of general hand tools, technical instructions/drawings, and mechanical concepts required. General technical skills developed through a combination of mechanical/electromechanical work experience such as assembly and repair of equipment, employer-based training, and/or formal education. Ability to frequently lift and carry up to thirty-five (35) pounds. Performs work while seated for long periods of time. Frequent standing, walking, bending and stooping.
Please note:
This position is a permanent budgeted full-time position on our staff where during your initial 3-6 month orientation period you will be employed through an employment agency until the successful completion of your orientation.
