Job Description
American Equipment HR LLC Careers (AmQuip Crane Rental) is seeking a Fabricator, Synthetics Sewing to support crane and lifting projects. This role fabricates and sews synthetic slings, covers, and related components using industrial sewing machines and cutting tools. The Fabricator follows patterns and specs, measures and cuts materials, and inspects finished products to meet strict safety and quality standards. Working in a safety-focused, team environment, this position supports field operations with reliable, well-built lifting products and offers growth through technical training and hands-on project experience. Responsibilities Fabricate and sew synthetic slings, covers, and related lifting components using industrial sewing machines Measure, mark, and cut synthetic materials according to patterns, drawings, and specifications Inspect materials and finished products for defects, proper stitching, and dimensional accuracy Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies in a crane and construction support environment Maintain sewing machines, cutting tools, and work area in clean, safe operating condition Interpret basic blueprints, work orders, and fabrication instructions to complete jobs accurately Collaborate with operations and field teams to meet project deadlines and product requirements Document work performed and report material, quality, or equipment issues to supervision promptly Required Skills Industrial sewing machine operation Pattern reading and layout Synthetic material cutting and fabrication Measurement and precision cutting Use of hand and power tools Quality inspection and testing Basic math and measurement Blueprint or technical drawing interpretation Equipment safety procedures Material handling and storage
