Hiring for a
SHORT TERM
Shop Helper in Gallatin, TN Job Description This position involves performing basic helper and laborer duties in the shop. You will be responsible for using hand tools and power tools, grinding and sanding materials, moving heavy materials, assisting welders as needed, and keeping the shop clean. Responsibilities Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively. Grind and sand materials as required. Move heavy materials safely and efficiently. Assist welders with various tasks as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop. Essential Skills Experience working with hand tools. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. Basic carpentry and general labor skills. Ability to perform clean-up tasks efficiently. Familiarity with sanding, grinding, and fabrication processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with sanding and/or grinding is a plus. General or manual labor experience is ideal. Why Work Here? This contract position is ideal for someone in-between projects looking for quick, easy work. It offers short-term guaranteed work with the flexibility to work 40 hours or 10+ hours of overtime each week. Work Environment The shop operates Monday through Friday. The crew works 10-12 hours per day, and contractors have the option to work overtime. The environment is a metal fabrication shop where custom metal pieces are created for new construction buildings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
