Full Job Description Shift:
Day Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) + Overtime as needed
Duration:
3-Month Contract (Potential for full-time conversion)
Location:
Manufacturing Facility (Immediate Start Required) Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Coil Assembler to join our production team. In this role, you will specialize in building precision coil assemblies and related electro-mechanical components within a fast-paced, lean manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a proven track record on assembly lines, and experience maintaining strict quality documentation.
Key Responsibilities CoilComponent Assembly:
Build coil assemblies and other electro-mechanical parts using power tools, heating tools, and small machinery (spot welders, soldering stations, heat guns).
Material Preparation:
Safely handle, cut, clean, and prepare production materials, including two-part potting materials for molding, silicon adhesives, and lubricants.
Quality Control:
Inspect products to ensure they meet exact blueprint specifications; reject out-of-spec items and maintain meticulous quality documentation (Work Orders, Travelers, Test Results).
Lean Manufacturing:
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and actively participate in 5S and single-piece flow initiatives.
What We Are Looking For Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience on a single-piece flow assembly line.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with manufacturing software (ERP/MRP systems like Oracle or JDE) and basic MS Office.
PhysicalVisual Abilities:
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for 65% of the shift. Sharp manual dexterity and excellent color vision (for wiring/labeling specifications). Ability to read small text (.0540") on blueprints and work instructions.
LanguageMath:
Strong English communication skills (written/spoken) and basic industrial math skills.
Working ConditionsInterview Process Environment:
Standard manufacturing floor. Safety gear (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection) is required.
