Title:
Engine Assembly Technician
Location:
Greater Cincinnati Area, OH (On-Site)
Employment Type:
Contract-to-Hire
Compensation:
$30/hr - $38/hr W2 Are you a master of complex machinery who is tired of the monotony of repetitive assembly lines? Imagine working in an elite research and development environment where your deep technical expertise directly shapes the future of clean energy technology. We are representing an innovative pioneer in cutting-edge power generation that is currently preparing for major commercial scaling. In this role, you won't just be following a script—you will collaborate directly with the design engineers who drafted the blueprints, serving as the hands-on bridge between concept and reality. Here's what you'll be doing: Execute the end-to-end build, configuration, and teardown of highly complex, proprietary power units and advanced sub-assemblies in strict accordance with engineering schematics. Set up sophisticated diagnostics equipment, establish baseline performance metrics, and run specialized test protocols in tandem with development engineers. Utilize advanced metrology instruments and geometric dimensioning principles to inspect components, perform meticulous mechanical calibrations, and document any system variances. Act as a critical feedback loop for the design team, identifying potential structural flaws early, proposing optimization solutions, and helping refine blueprints based on real-world floor builds. Here's what our ideal candidate has: 8+ years of hands-on experience mastering the assembly of intricate aerospace systems, high-value capital equipment, or advanced powertrain machinery. Expert-level capability in reading complex engineering layouts, matched with a practical understanding of GD&T standards and precision measuring tools. A background navigating unique, first-of-their-kind prototype builds under tight engineering supervision, with a commitment to procedural safety and documentation. Prior experience with high-end welding applications (TIG/MIG), CNC equipment configuration, or specialized linear/reciprocating power platforms is highly desirable. Due to the nature of active federal and institutional programs, this position requires US Citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card holding status); visa sponsorship is unavailable.
