Irving, TX 75060 (Dallas-Fort Worth) Job description — Elegant Stone & Surfaces is currently one of the top custom stone fabrication and installation facilities serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, located in Irving. We fabricate and install countertops, fireplaces, integrated sinks, and architectural stone for high-end residential and commercial projects — the kind of work where everything we do matters to our clients. Our daily operations run and operate with a highly experienced front office and staff and we're growing are looking to add to that. Currently we are looking to add fabricators for our 8,000sq. ft. air conditioned shop floor. At our facility, we run a well-equipped, well-organized shop with sharp tooling and good material, and we work on projects most shops in DFW don't get to touch, or aren't experienced enough to handle. Our clients consist of architects, designers, and high end luxury homeowners who care about the finer details, which means your craftsmanship actually gets noticed. Experienced fabricator? You'll fit right in, and we'd love to hear about the work you've done. Not a fabricator but maybe you are experienced in similar fields of the construction industry, or another skilled trade and you want to learn this one, apply anyway! We have a real training path, and have all the things necessary to train you properly on how we do what we do. What your day looks likeYou'll work from templates and shop drawings to turn raw slabs that come off our precision machines into finished pieces: Layout — marking out cuts on the slab for the best vein match, the cleanest seam placement, and the least wasted material Cutting — saw work to rough out and shape pieces to project specific spec Cutouts — sink and faucet openings, cooktop openings, and radii, cut clean and to the right tolerance Finishing — hand-polishing and shaping edges to a consistent, inspection-ready standard: eased, bullnose, ogee, mitered, waterfall, and custom profiles Seam work — building and fitting miters and seams so the joint disappears Fit-up — dry-fitting pieces in the shop so the install crew never has an on-site fitment issue Material handling — moving slabs safely with A-frames, clamps, cranes, and vacuum lifters Upkeep — keeping your station, tooling, blades, and water systems clean and running You'll work closely with our design and manufacturing team, front office and skilled install crews. When something's off, we want and expect you to speak up. What we need from you You can read a tape to 1/16" and work accurately from provided shop drawings and project specific specs You have a good eye — for a straight edge, a clean polish, a tight seam You're comfortable on your feet all day in a wet, work environment You can safely lift 50+ lbs and team-lift heavy slabs with safety at the forefront You show up on time and do what you say you are going to do — our company and our clients depend on it You take safety seriously, including PPE and silica dust controls (we don't cut corners here, and neither should you) You're authorized to work in the U.S. Nice to have 2+ years fabricating granite, quartz, marble, or porcelain Bridge saw or wet saw experience Strong edge polishing and finishing skills Miter, waterfall, or large-format porcelain experience Forklift certification Bilingual English/Spanish (we're a bilingual shop and it helps) About the training path If you're new to stone, here's how it actually works: You'll start alongside one of our experienced fabricators, handling material movement, cutouts, and finish work. As you gain experience, you'll move onto the saw, then into full independent fabrication of standard pieces, and eventually into the complex custom work — miters, waterfalls, book- matched material. Pay moves up as continue to improve and gain industry knowledge and experience. Why people stay here Steady work. DFW commercial and residential construction is busy and so are we. This isn't seasonal. Good material and sharp tooling. We don't make you fight dull blades and worn-out equipment to hit a deadline. Work worth doing. Calacatta, quartzite, book-matched marble, large- format porcelain. No project is the same. You are not a number. Small shop with direct access to the people making decisions. Communication is how we have grown our client list, and it is exactly how we will continue to grow our business. Room to grow with us. Our Lead Fabricator role is a real destination, not a title we hand out. Overtime available if you want the hours. How to apply Apply right here on Indeed. A resume is great but not required. Just let us know what experience you might have if you think you fit what we are looking for, and we'll take a look at it.

Tell us: what you've built, what kind of shop or trade you've worked in, and when you could start. If you have photos of work you are proud of, send them. We take a look at every application, and all qualified applicants are considered. Questions before you apply? Call us at 214 537 6585. Elegant Stone & Surfaces is an equal opportunity employer.
