Lead Fabricator Vantage Stoneworks Irving, TX Job Details Full-time $24 - $34 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Fabrication Spanish English Pareto charts Attention to detail Full Job Description About the role - At Vantage, we fabricate and install custom stone countertops and surfaces. Our reputation and level of service in our business rely heavily on the quality and timeliness of every piece leaving the shop correctly the first time. We're adding a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to own and excel in that standard — the final set of eyes between fabrication and the customer's home or business. This is a hands-on, shop floor role for someone who takes pride in attention to detail, solving problems and meeting necessary project deadlines. What you'll do - Inspect and analyze fabricated pieces against shop drawings, templates, and job tickets — dimensions, sink/cooktop/faucet cutouts, overhangs, and radius — to spec and tolerances provided. Check edge profiles, polish, and surface finish for consistency and quality. Verify seams and mitered edges for fit, alignment, and appearance. Inspect incoming slabs for cracks, defects, and color/veining consistency against the approved selection. Communicate with our teams and give the final QC sign-off before pieces move to staging and loading. Confirm every job is complete, correctly labeled and all remnant pieces are logged and or accounted for prior to dispatch. Document defects and reworks, flag recurring issues, and coordinate fixes with the fabrication/CNC and install teams while updating front office staff for necessary and timely schedule updates. Keep clear QC records and checklists per the request of front office. Assist with shop-floor coordination, workflow, cleanliness, inventory and other day-to-day operations as needed — this role calls for flexibility attention to detail and a team-first attitude. Requirements - Experience in the stone / countertop fabrication industry. Nice to have - Familiarity with CNC saws/routers, water-jets, and edge polishers. Experience with mitered edges and stone finishing detail work. Exposure to digital templating (laser/LiDAR, Proliner) or QC/job-tracking software. Bilingual (English/Spanish) Details -
