Job Description
Aerotek is seeking an Assembly Technician for a client in Livingston, TX $22/hr. 2nd shift 2:30 pm - 11:30 pm. Must be open to overtime. Job Description This role focuses on rebuilding and refurbishing power distribution equipment that supports the data center industry. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to perform mechanical assembly, cutting, and general labor tasks in a production environment, contributing directly to the reliable operation of critical electrical systems. Responsibilities Rebuild and refurbish power distribution equipment used in data center applications. Perform mechanical assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment. Use wrenches, tape measures, and other tools to assemble, adjust, and secure components according to specifications. Cut materials to size as required for rebuilds and assemblies. Support general labor and production activities, including moving parts, organizing work areas, and assisting teammates as needed. Follow written and verbal instructions to complete rebuilds accurately and efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with facility standards. Handle physically demanding tasks that may involve lifting, carrying, and working on your feet for extended periods. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Adhere to all safety procedures and use appropriate tools and equipment correctly. Essential Skills Experience with mechanical assembly using hand and power tools. Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools such as wrenches and tape measures. Comfort working in an industrial or production environment performing general labor. Background in construction or job shop work, with the physical ability to meet the demands of the role. Capability to perform cutting tasks and basic fabrication as part of rebuilds. Strong attention to detail when assembling and rebuilding equipment. Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and maintaining an orderly work area. Additional Skills & Qualifications Wiring experience is a plus but not required. Prior experience in a rental, repair, or refurbishment environment is beneficial. Familiarity with industrial equipment or power distribution systems is an advantage. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment. Willingness to learn and grow into expanded responsibilities over time. Why Work Here? You will regularly use hand and power tools, including wrenches, cutting tools, and measuring devices, while working on your feet and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livingston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
