This position will assemble, inspect and perform acceptance testing on complex optical systems. To accomplish this effectively, the work must be done independently from: engineering drawings, engineering changes, bills of material, work instructions, test procedures and production schedules.
Responsibilities:
Builds and validates precision electrical-optical-mechanical assemblies in strict accordance with procedure. Enters data into company databases Uses standardized tools and electric equipment to perform mechanical assembly on opto-mechanical assemblies. Executes simple standardized process inspections/tests throughout the production process. Interfaces with engineers to support special builds, and experiments with detailed instructions. Prepares completed assemblies for shipment. Follows control measures and processes to ensure the quality of modules produced. Maintains a clean work area, and is responsible for designated tools
Experience/Qualifications :
3+ years of experience building and testing optical systems Experience with complex structures having precision parts Familiar with system level testing Comfortable operating PC based test equipment with custom software Experience diagnosing system level issues Capable of developing assembly procedures for prototype builds
