Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plantation Shutter Fabricator-Woodworker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality wooden plantation shutters, ensuring each piece meets precise specifications and quality standards. Your expertise in woodworking, fabrication, and machinery operation will contribute to delivering beautiful, functional window treatments that enhance our customers' spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with skilled craftsmen in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and craftsmanship. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wooden components for plantation shutters following detailed blueprints and specifications Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely to shape and assemble wood parts with precision Use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure accurate dimensional measurements Follow safety protocols including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use such as respiratory protection and eye safety gear during all fabrication processes Handle materials carefully, including heavy lifting of wood panels and components, adhering to safety regulations for materials handling Conduct machining, polishing, stone finishing, and other surface treatments to achieve desired aesthetic quality Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards in production environments Requirements Proven experience in woodworking, fabrication, or millwork within manufacturing or construction settings Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and heavy machinery operation such as forklifts or similar equipment (certification preferred) Strong mechanical knowledge related to materials handling, assembly processes, and machinery maintenance Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication tasks Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including PPE adherence, safety protocol compliance, and hazard awareness Experience with construction or manufacturing environments involving heavy lifting and materials handling Excellent attention to detail for dimensional accuracy and quality control throughout the fabrication process Join our team today and bring your craftsmanship to life!
