Heavy Industrial Assembler - weekly pay!! $20-$23/HR Job Description This contract Heavy Industrial Assembler role is a hands-on position in a high-volume manufacturing environment supporting large battery enclosures. Based in Tooele, Utah, this 3-4 month assignment offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale electronic and mechanical assembly, with potential to move into other departments or projects after the contract. The role suits dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who are comfortable with physically demanding work, forklift operation, and fast-paced production. Responsibilities Support assembly operations across multiple departments and areas involved in manufacturing large battery enclosures. Assist in assembling large-scale electronic and mechanical components for battery enclosures using hand and power tools. Operate forklifts, with an emphasis on stand-up forklifts, to move heavy materials and battery modules safely and efficiently. Push and maneuver carts loaded with up to 750 pounds of equipment and battery modules. Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Perform repetitive assembly and production tasks while standing for extended periods throughout the shift. Collaborate closely with team members, material handlers, and other departments to maintain smooth production flow. Handle general labor tasks including material handling, loading and unloading trucks, and staging components for assembly. Use mechanical equipment and tools such as torque wrenches, drills, crimpers, calipers, and gauges to complete assembly and inspection tasks. Conduct basic visual and dimensional inspections to verify quality and accuracy of assembled components. Consistently lift up to 50 pounds, and frequently walk, bend, and push heavy carts as part of daily duties. Utilize SAP systems for basic inventory tracking and material movements as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all housekeeping and safety standards. Adhere to attendance and timekeeping expectations to support continuous production operations across all shifts. Essential Skills Proven experience operating forklifts in an industrial or manufacturing environment, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and perform physically demanding tasks such as walking, bending, and pushing heavy carts. Comfort working in a heavy industrial, high-volume production setting with repetitive tasks and extended periods of standing. Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools such as torque wrenches, drills, crimping tools, and other hand and power tools. Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and consistent attendance. Willingness to be coached and follow established procedures and safety protocols. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate with material handlers and other departments. Experience with general labor, material handling, and loading/unloading trucks in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with mechanical assembly and assembly line production in a manufacturing environment. Experience with heavy lifting, heavy industrial construction, or similar physically demanding roles. Familiarity with stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and carts for material movement. Exposure to mechanical equipment and inspection tasks, including use of calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools. Experience working with large-scale electronic and mechanical components or battery-related products. Comfort using SAP or similar systems for basic inventory tracking and material management. Mechanically inclined mindset with the ability to troubleshoot simple issues with tools or equipment. Previous experience in machine operation or general manufacturing is beneficial. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is fully on-site at a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility in Tooele, Utah, with operations supporting large battery enclosure production. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with OSHA-compliant training, personal protective equipment, and site-specific safety orientations provided. Work is physically demanding and involves frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and pushing carts loaded with up to 750 pounds. Employees use a range of industrial tools and equipment, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, torque wrenches, drills, crimping tools, calipers, gauges, and other measurement devices, as well as SAP systems for inventory tracking.The position follows structured shifts:
first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with a shift differential, and third shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with a higher shift differential. Attendance and timekeeping expectations are strict to support continuous production. Employees must wear composite-toed shoes and other required PPE and are expected to maintain a neat, safety-appropriate appearance suitable for a heavy industrial manufacturing setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Grantsville, UT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
