Lorton, VA

Schedule:

Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Employment Type:

Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Pay:

$20.00 to $22.00 per hour to start

Position Overview:

SST is seeking a Manufacturing Associate/Fabricator for a valued client in Lorton, VA. This role involves a combination of hands-on fabrication, mechanical assembly, and shipping/receiving responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Products include rigging equipment made from synthetic materials, steel cable, and chain used in heavy lifting and cargo securement applications.

We are looking for dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and are comfortable working across multiple areas of production and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

Fabricate and assemble rigging products using synthetic materials, steel cable, and chain.

Operate production machinery and tools safely and efficiently.

Perform general manufacturing duties including cutting, measuring, and product assembly.

Assist with shipping and receiving, including packaging, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment.

Load and unload materials and finished goods.

Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Work independently and as part of a team to meet production and shipping deadlines.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred.

Industrial sewing experience is a plus, but not required.

Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail.

Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.

Comfortable using hand tools and production equipment.

Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.

Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Must wear required PPE (safety glasses, work boots, etc.).

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.

Capable of performing repetitive tasks in a production environment.

Comfortable working in moderate noise levels typical of manufacturing settings. We are an equal opportunity employer.
