Job Title:
Assembly Technician - Hydraulic Actuators (Multiple Shifts) Job Description This role focuses on preparing, assembling, and testing hydraulic actuator products and components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will use hand and power tools, follow assembly drawings, perform functional testing, and maintain a clean and safe work area while working as part of a high-performance team. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble products and components using a variety of hand tools and basic production equipment. Build and assemble different parts of hydraulic actuators using hand and power tools. Accurately read and interpret assembly drawings to perform repetitive product assembly. Perform all phases of assembly, including timing and final adjustments. Conduct functional tests on finished assemblies to ensure proper operation and quality standards. Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and company policies while performing daily tasks. Apply lean principles and standard work practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by regularly cleaning and organizing tools, equipment, and workspace. Actively participate in high-performance teams and company-sponsored training programs. Complete additional duties, projects, and tasks as assigned by leadership. Consistently lift and move materials and components weighing 40 pounds or more as required by the role. Stand for extended periods (up to 10+ hours per day) to perform assembly and production tasks. Essential Skills Experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly, mechanical, or production environment. Ability to consistently lift 40+ pounds throughout the shift. Ability to stand for 10 or more hours per day while performing assembly work. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and quality workmanship. Basic math skills to support measurement, counting, and production tasks. Ability to follow written instructions, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures. Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with repetitive tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous production or manufacturing experience is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints is preferred. Familiarity with mechanical assembly, pneumatics, and basic production processes is beneficial. Willingness to learn new skills; no prior assembly, deburr, or material handling experience required as training is provided. Interest in participating in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Openness to working overtime as needed, including some Fridays or Saturdays depending on shift. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing machine shop environment that produces hydraulic actuators. You will work with hand and power tools, basic production equipment, and mechanical components in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. The facility emphasizes safety, lean principles, and clean, organized work areas. Multiple shifts are available, including a day shift (Monday-Thursday, 5:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with Friday overtime as needed), a weekend shift (Friday-Sunday, 4:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.), and a second shift (Monday-Friday, 1:15 p.m.-9:45 p.m., with Saturday overtime as needed). The environment requires standing for long periods, lifting components weighing 40+ pounds, and performing repetitive assembly tasks. The dress code is typical for a manufacturing setting, with appropriate work attire and safety footwear required in production areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Enumclaw, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.63 - $24.63/hr.
