Firland Workshop manufactures precision aerospace components. We are looking for a Production Assembler to join our team onsite in a full-time capacity. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical aerospace components, ensuring all parts meet strict quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, and two or more years of experience assembling mechanical aerospace components. Key Responsibilities The Production Assembler will be responsible for assembling high quality aviation parts according to defined processes. We intend to hire a candidate that is capable of growing into the Assembly Lead.
Specific tasks include:
Assembling small parts using basic hand tools Following safety protocols Reading and interpreting blueprints Troubleshooting assembly issues Creating assembly instructions Reporting malfunctions and errors to supervisors Operating power tools and manufacturing equipment for assemblies Performing quality checks to identify defects or inconsistencies Measuring and aligning parts or subassemblies Cleaning and maintaining work area and equipment Supporting our continuous improvement (Kaizen) culture by identifying areas of concern and proposing solutions to mitigate waste. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, technical school preferred Basic reading and math Able to read blueprints Basic computer skills Sufficient manual dexterity to use hand tools daily Sufficient mobility and flexibility to assemble aviation parts daily A commitment to following instructions and produce uniform high-quality work Ability to start day by 7:00
AM Preferred:
some experience in a production role.
Environment:
As a workshop, you will be subjected to loud noises, chemicals, moving equipment, and heavy machinery. PPE and safety training will be provided. There are a few physical demands of this job: Frequent repetitive motions Eye strain (small parts) Motor function (dexterity for assembling) Sedentary work Ability to carry 20 lbs Early working hours
