Assembler/Operator I Rate per hour: $18.00Schedule:
1st shift -5:00am to 3:00pm. Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts; overtime may be required or offered as needed.JOB PURPOSE
Assemble variety of basic shutter styles within established standards for quality and timeliness.JOB DUTIES
- May perform pre-assembly responsibilities: - Must be able to work with Poly based parts.
- Perform assembly and general manufactoring duties.
- Perform initial hand assembly of shutters to allow for hanging, inspection and adjustment.
- Make necessary adjustments and re-inspect.
- Complete assembly process
- Perform testing of shutters - quality tests, visual test, function/performance test
- Interact with quality specialists to ensure that quality guidelines are met.
- Prepare shutters for packaging and shipment - pull shutters up into stacked position; may bag or may put on cart for submission to other group for packaging/labeling and shipment.
- Complete productivity paperwork related to shutters assembly.
- May work with Engineering on testing of new products. Maintain clean and safe work environment.
- Follow established procedures to maintain work environment in a neat and orderly condition.
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment and tools. Interact with Toolroom and Maintenance Departments on equipment and tool repair and development of new equipment and tools.
- Follow safety policies and procedures. Attend regularly-scheduled safety meetings.
- Attend daily huddles and other meetings to ensure smooth flow of communication.

The Assembler/Operator I in specialty is responsible for fabricating and assembling specialty shutter components, including louvered arches, according to production cut tickets and quality standards. This role involves measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools.Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret cut tickets to determine shutter shape and specifications Measure panels and materials to ensure accuracy Cut and shape louvers, rails, and stiles using hand and power tools Assemble panels and louvered arches according to specifications Verify panel color, texture, and dimensions before assembly Inspect completed products for quality and accuracy Move finished products to cleaning and packaging area Maintain a clean and safe work area Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:
Ability to read a ruler to 1/16" Ability to convert decimals to fractions and vice versa Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Carpentry or woodworking experience preferred Comfortable using hand tools and power tools Requirements EDUCATION andEXPERIENCE
