Production Superintendent

Duties Lead and manage all aspects of production operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Develop and implement production schedules utilizing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP to meet delivery deadlines and optimize resource utilization. Monitor manufacturing processes, applying lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques to eliminate waste and enhance productivity. Collaborate with supply chain management to coordinate procurement, inventory control, and logistics, utilizing supply chain analytics for informed decision-making. Oversee quality control procedures to maintain product standards and compliance with industry regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions. Supervise plant management activities including staffing, training, and performance evaluations for manufacturing teams. Maintain mechanical knowledge of equipment and processes to troubleshoot issues swiftly and minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among all team members. Qualifications Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of plant operations. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms; experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies, process improvement strategies, and supply chain management principles. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machinery operation and maintenance requirements. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive operational excellence. Excellent analytical skills for supply chain analytics and data-driven decision making. Effective communication skills to coordinate across departments and ensure clarity of objectives. Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing technology or related field preferred; relevant certifications in operations management or continuous improvement are a plus. $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
