We are looking for a strong, hands-on leader with extensive furniture manufacturing experience who can oversee daily production, develop department leaders, improve efficiencies, and maintain the quality standards our customers expect. This position is responsible for managing all areas of manufacturing, including Upholstery, Sewing, Cutting, Woodworking, Assembly, Finishing, Shipping, and Receiving. The ideal candidate understands how each department impacts production flow and can effectively balance productivity, quality, labor, and customer deadlines. This is not a desk only management position. We are seeking a leader who is visible on the production floor, actively engaged with employees, and capable of driving accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout the facility. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading furniture manufacturing operations, building strong teams, solving production challenges, and creating an environment where employees can perform at their highest level. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all daily manufacturing operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and department leaders.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time completion of customer orders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain quality standards throughout all stages of production.
- Monitor labor utilization and departmental performance.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Scheduling teams.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement long-term solutions.
- Develop and maintain a culture of accountability, teamwork, and respect.
- Participate in strategic planning and operational improvement projects. Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of Plant Manager experience in furniture manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of upholstered furniture manufacturing processes.
- Experience managing multiple manufacturing departments.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing business demands.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
