About the role:
We are a trusted partner to our customers when it comes to innovation and have one of the strongest R D, product formulation and technical teams in the industry. We are recognized as the leader in plant-based softgel innovation and our ability to encapsulate difficult formulas. As a Senior Gummy Manufacturing Manager, you will be overseeing managers, supervisors, and their teams in the gummy manufacturing operation. This role ensures the smooth execution of day-to-day production while contributing to strategic initiatives that improve operational efficiency, quality, and employee development. The person will ensure a quality product is manufactured safely, efficiently, and on schedule while adhering to Company SOPs, GMP, and OSHA regulations and standards. The person will also ensure the facility and equipment are well maintained., How will you contribute: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to: Oversee production operations through managers and supervisors, ensuring compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and safety standards while optimizing resources to meet production goals. Train and mentor managers and supervisors to strengthen leadership and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high morale. Drive workforce development programs to enhance skills and adaptability, aligning team goals with organizational objectives. Oversee employee development programs to build a skilled and adaptable workforce. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high morale within production teams. Establish clear, measurable goals for managers and supervisors that align with company objectives and directives. Collaborate with Planning, Quality, R D, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth and efficient production. Escalate systemic issues and support engineering-driven improvements in equipment and processes. Address and resolving operational challenges, including formulation, mechanical, and quality issues, while escalating complex problems. Drive innovation in production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Prepare and analyze key performance indicator (KPI) reports, assisting in budget preparation and cost management to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Maintain compliance with documentation standards for audits, training, and regulatory requirements. Follow established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions. Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations. Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner. Perform other related job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and College Degree or applicable business or manufacturing training in an accredited college/university; plus 5-10 or more years of work experience in management/supervision, in a manufacturing work environment. Previous experience in growing organizational infrastructures (people, business processes, systems) to support next level business growth Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job. Demonstrated success in managing strong personalities and creating a culture of cooperation and optimism. Additional training and experience with World Class Manufacturing concepts (Lean, TOC, Six Sigma, TQM, 5S, SPC, SCM, SMED, OEE, TPM, VFM, VSM and JIT) is a strong plus.
