New Product Development Location:
Newark, CA (Onsite)
Compensation:
$130,000 - $150,000 + full benefits Position Overview We're hiring a Project Manager to lead the delivery of new product initiatives within a highly engineered manufacturing environment. This role is focused on taking products from early concept through commercialization—working across engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to ensure successful launch execution. You'll operate in a matrixed organization, coordinating multiple stakeholders while maintaining full ownership of timelines, deliverables, and financial performance. Core Responsibilities Own projects from initial award through production readiness and launch execution Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality to drive alignment and delivery Build and manage detailed project plans , ensuring milestones, dependencies, and risks are clearly defined and tracked Oversee project budgets, cost targets, and financial forecasting throughout the lifecycle Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external customers Lead project meetings, drive accountability, and ensure action items are executed on schedule Manage scope changes, mitigate risks, and escalate issues when necessary to maintain delivery commitments Ensure projects follow structured development frameworks (e.g., stage-gate / NPI processes) and meet documentation standards Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline execution and enhance delivery performance Required Background Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline 5+ years of experience managing new product development or product launch projects Proven track record delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality expectations Experience working in a manufacturing or product-based environment (electronics, sensors, electromechanical, or similar) Strong understanding of structured product development processes (NPI, stage-gate, or similar frameworks) Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization , coordinating multiple teams and priorities Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and customer interactions Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Experience Familiarity with APQP or similar quality-driven product development methodologies Experience supporting technically complex products or systems Background working with global or multi-site teams What They're Looking For A PM who can own delivery end-to-end , not just track timelines Someone who can drive alignment across engineering and operations teams Comfortable being the central point of accountability for both execution and communication Strong sense of urgency with the ability to balance multiple priorities without losing detail Why This Opportunity Direct impact on bringing new products to market High visibility across engineering, operations, and leadership teams Stable environment with strong backing and long-term growth potential Comprehensive benefits package starting day one #
