Magnolia Foods' suppliers of raw materials are national companies with great reputation for high quality products. In less than six years, Magnolia Foods has become one of the top producers in the industry servicing major National Food Service accounts and is recognized for unique items such as sopes, huaraches and bunuelos. The Plant Manager will provide strong leadership and direction with overall responsibility for the financial performance of the 24/7 facility, development of the staff, and operational improvements in safety, food safety quality, and productivity. This position will work to drive best practices and ensure appropriate cross-functional collaboration on new initiatives, projects, products, and customers.
Responsibilities :
Manage all company business according to the cultural objectives of the company (values and behaviors) Understand and execute the principles of the Company's Operational Excellence program driving the right behaviors, standards and continuous improvement across all operating entities Participate in cross-functional teams as required to advance the business interests of the company. Compliance with all company and regulatory policies/guidelines relating to associate safety, food safety, and food quality Drive improvements in plant KPIs (VF) in Safety, Food Safety Quality, and Productivity Ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies and local city government Ensure compliance with the SQF III quality system and drive all the activities to maintain its certification. Contribute to the development of the annual budget, performance goals and process, and operational improvements Manage and forecast the plant P&L including forecasting of materials, labor, supplies, utilities, etc. Identify and execute cost savings initiatives in compliance with company goals including labor, shrink, overtime, cost of quality, productivity, etc. Manage and maintain assessments of plant and line capacities and utilizations Ensure seamless integration of new equipment, products, processes, and customers into the facility in accordance with company standards and best practices Keep current on information and technology to increase innovation and ensure compliance Coordinate and work with Finance to develop and control profits, expenses, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget Work with Distribution, Sales and Customer Service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction Education and Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in a process-oriented operation and/or related industry Minimum 5 years of experience within the Food and Beverage industry required Bilingual in Spanish is preferred Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, mathematics, food science or related field Technical expertise in the areas of food processing engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, food safety, and costing Required Skills and Abilities Strong organizational skills with constant attention to detail Exceptional business leadership experience Provide leadership to all direct reports and ensure appropriate leadership and hands-on engagement with indirect reports Strengthen the local team through coaching, training, and effective goal setting We offer Competitive pay, $140k to $185k Benefits package is available; Health, Dental and Vision insurance, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, and 401(k) and moreSimilar jobs in Rialto, CA
