Production Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations related to the assembly of electronic components and products. This role ensures production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The Production Manager leads production teams, optimizes processes, and collaborates with cross-functional departments to support continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities for electronic assembly operations Supervise and lead production staff, including line leads, assemblers, and technicians Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and cost targets Monitor workflow, staffing, and equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime Enforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, ESD control, IPC standards) Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure product specifications are met Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to resolve production issues Analyze production metrics and KPIs; develop and execute improvement plans Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices Train, mentor, and evaluate team members; support employee development and performance management Manage inventory usage, material flow, and coordination with warehouse/logistics teams Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping for production activitiesQualifications Experience:
5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a production environmentSkills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of electronic assembly processes (PCB assembly, soldering, testing, wiring) Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and ESD practices Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Working Conditions Manufacturing/production floor environment May require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting (up to 25-50 lbs) Use of PPE as required (e.g., safety glasses, ESD protection) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Production output and schedule adherence Product quality and defect rates Equipment uptime and efficiency Labor productivity and cost control Safety performance and incident ratesPay:
