We are currently hiring for a studio manager and studio technician positions to help build a welcoming environment for ceramic artists of all levels. This is an opportunity to build a studio from the ground up. Ideal candidates are proactive, responsible, and excited about working in a fast-paced creative space. Ceramic experience is preferred, but strong organizational, managerial, and hands-on problem-solving skills are what we really need. If you love ceramics, enjoy working with people, and want to help shape a new creative hub in DC, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the studio
  • Supervise staff, instructors, and studio assistants
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional studio environment
  • Coordinate member communications, customer service, and studio policies
  • Manage inventory and supplies
  • Help implement operational systems and improve studio workflows
  • Address member concerns and support a positive studio culture
  • Coordinate maintenance needs and ensure equipment and facilities remain operational Qualifications
  • Previous management, operations, or administrative experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to lead a team and manage responsibilities independently
  • Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a creative, community-focused environment
  • Ability to adapt in a growing startup-style studio setting Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a community ceramics studio, educational program, or production environment
  • Familiarity with kiln firing, glaze mixing, and clay studio safety
  • Prior ceramics or pottery studio experience is a plus, but not required Position Details
  • Full-time manager position/part-time tech positions
  • Evening and weekend availability required
