The objectives of the position are to ensure that trucks are loaded properly, delivery is scheduled efficiently throughout NE Florida and ensure DOT guidelines are met for every delivery of product to each job site. Must have knowledge of concrete . Plant Manager will be responsible for Daily operations of plant, batching, dispatching , management of trucks, drivers, plant and management of raw materials.

Job Duties:

Manage and load concrete and dump trucks at our Elkton concrete plant to dispatch the ready-mix drivers, roll-off drivers and dump truck drivers to each location. Work to ensure safe, accurate, and on-time delivery of concrete and concrete products. Ensure all drivers are within DOT guidelines for work and delivery schedules. Must be familiar with the NE Florida area for truck routing to job sites. Identify and track the delivery routes by working closely with the drivers and operators. Manage all raw materials, bin levels and driver schedules for the assigned plant. Work closely with sales and operations teams to enhance service, products and plant efficiency. Identify potential problems and communicate immediately with management if unable to solve them. Be proactive, self-motivated, self-starter. Communication Skills. Must have the ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature relating to concrete products and vehicles. Must have the ability to read and understand maps, road instructions, manuals, rules, and regulations. Technology Skills. Must have the ability to handle frequent distractions from radios and phones. Must be extremely competent in the use of computers. Must be comfortable in the use of dispatching and truck movement computer software programs and inventory.

Requirements:

Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check. Required hours will require overtime and possibly Saturdays with some early morning work required. Willingness to work in a team environment. Experience. At least 3-5 years of ready-mix operational experience in a plant setting or previous experience dispatching ready-mix concrete or similar building materials required. Ready to Drive.
