A Manufacturing Project Manager maintains relations between the manufacturing company and the clients to which it sells and distributes. They manage a variety of accounts and projects; they also assess new build plans, assess various procedures in the production process, and maintain an open line of communication with vendors and clients. The project manager works with the company's customers directly to assess and help meet their needs. In addition, the project manager has responsibilities in the direct manufacturing facility. They ensure that safety guidelines are met and any potential risks are eliminated.

$30-40/hr W2 Some project management roles are about owning one project from start to finish. This one gives you a seat across an entire portfolio of technical programs. Swoon is working with an industry-leading engineering and manufacturing company that's adding a Project/Program Manager to support its New Source Introduction (NSI) portfolio. This person will work directly with program leadership, engineering teams, strategy leads, and project managers to understand where programs stand, bring the right information to the surface, and help leadership make informed decisions across the portfolio. It's a strong opportunity for someone with a technical project management background who wants broader exposure to how engineering and manufacturing programs are managed at the portfolio level.Responsibilities:
- Track project status and key deliverables across a portfolio of New Source Introduction initiatives
- Prepare project data, documentation, and updates for recurring portfolio reviews
- Mine, extract, and organize program data using Excel and Power BI to give leadership visibility into project performance
- Facilitate project meetings with engineering, strategy, program management, and business partners
- Maintain and archive project review documentation and ensure critical program information is organized and accessible
- Present reports, project status, and findings to stakeholders and leadership
- Analyze project needs across technology, resources, production, and timelines to support planning and execution
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of Project or Program Management experience within a technical environment
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, production, or other technically complex programs
- Strong Excel skills with experience extracting, organizing, and analyzing project data
- Experience with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Strong meeting facilitation, stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to independently manage priorities and work across multiple teams and initiatives
- Ability to work onsite five days per week in Lafayette, IN or Mossville, IL Nice to
Have:
- 4-year degree in a STEM field
- Power BI experience
- Engine or large-scale manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting New Source Introduction, New Product Introduction, portfolio management, or similar engineering programs You do not need to already live in Indiana or Central Illinois.
