Shift Manager

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Shift Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving the daily success of our manufacturing facility ensuring smooth production flow, exceptional quality standards, and efficient merchandising and packaging operations.

Position Responsibilities:

Provides general leadership and management to all types of printing processes, manufacturing, packaging, fulfillment, and other areas Provides direct supervision to Leads and Operators Reports on daily /​ weekly /​ monthly metrics Performs assigned duties that fall within the scope of this job as defined by the Production Manager Provides plant performance measurements and reporting Responsible for labor planning Implements new systems, policies and procedures Promotes and drive quality process Responsible for safety in all areas such as processing and behavioral Assures adherence to OSHA policies and standards Executes assigned task timely Develops teams Interacts closely with other departments outside of operations Drives continuous improvement Key Skills and Experience 5 years prior experience supervising direct reports Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple priorities and develop effective solutions Ability to write concise operation reports with appropriate supporting graphical and presentation exhibits Demonstrates Project and Process Management skills Formal Process Improvement Training preferred (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma) Strong interpersonal/​communication and analytical skills Knowledge of Word, Excel and MRP systems also a plus Able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs., mobility to crouch, kneel, reach, bend and do repetitive actions with hands and arms Education High School Diploma or GED Supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce is important to Shutterfly not only because it directly reflects our value of Embracing our Differences, but also because it's the right thing to do for our business and for our people.
